Well i got my new ride a 2012 fx4 supercrew. I love the truck. I had an 04 superduty that i traded for an 08 chevy when the diesel went over 5 bucks a gallon. I sure missed my ford and now im back in ford country. The chevy had a nice ride but thats about it and it was always broken. Thanks Obama motors ill never go gm again. Ive had it a week and had the windows blacked out. Now i need to find a leveling kit for it and get it where it needs to be. I got the 5.0 because im kinda old school when it comes to trucks and love the sound of a v8. I also got the 3.73 gear ratio because i tow a boat. So far interstate nets just under 19mpg and the truck has 349 miles as of right now. All in all i love it to death.
Just took this for another thread today....will give you a pretty good idea what yours will look like with a two inch level...Attachment 56301
Thank you. What brand level kit did you go with there are quite a few out there. In past trucks i either used the keys or spacer under the strut. Ive never used a top strut spacer. I also get a photo of it with the front windows blacked out and posted up here looks very good. The level kit and window vent visors are next.
Welcome to FTE and congratulations. That's a nice ride. The moms of my oldest daughter's friend have that same truck and I love it. That'll be my next one.
Wow I am so happy I found this forum! This is the exact truck I am looking to buy. I test drove one last week and the ride was amazing, although my test drive was rather limited (< 3 mi). I was a little nervous about the ride being too stiff with the FX4 package.
How come everyone is doing the 2-inch leveling? I never really even noticed how high they sat in the back until now. lol
Thanks for the warm welcome and great comments on my new truck. I like to do the level kits to allow for a larger tire and slightly more clearence from the ground on the front end. But mostly because i like how it looks also. Here are some pic of the truck with the windows blacked out now it really looks good.
Forgive me for getting off topic here but after reading your comment reminded me of this part in Spaceballs and I just had to share (which is what movie my forum name came from)
