guide on how to change a clutch - 351w 4 speed w/od

Forgive me. I'm a Volkswagen guy who recently picked up a '94 F250 with a 351, manual 4 spd w/od.

The clutch engages high, can it be adjusted?

If it can't be adjusted is there a DIY guide listed on here or elsewhere that can walk me through a clutch replacement?

Thank you.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...drop-a-zf.html Here is a good writeup on dropping the transmission. This is for a 4x4, a 4x2 would be similar. Also this is for an external slave cyl trans, yours will be an internal one (concentric).
There is no clutch adjustment unless you have an adjustable push rod at the pedal under the dash.

High in the pedal travel, but otherwise good? No slip or nasty noise?

I'd leave it alone.....for now anyway.

BTW you have a 5 speed.

4 speeds with OD do exist, but your box is a 5er.

And it shoud be the ZF, picture here. Diagonal ribs are the easiest ID item:

If I'm rough with it slips, but if I'm gentle it does fine.

I got the truck so I can pull a 1,000 trailer on the weekends round trip 100-150 miles.

I havent tested it out with the trailer. I'm a little concerned about this clutch

Hhhhmm, you are wise to research clutch replacement. Is this 4x4 or 4x2?
