Hello, I've got a problem that I need some help with. I own a 93 F-150 inline 6. The problem is this: With the engine running and both doors closed, when I turn on the parking or headlights the interior chime comes on continuously until I turn off the lights.
I have not read out the plug to the chime to see where the power is coming from since I don't have a wiring diagram. But I played with the fuses and found that if I pull fuse #8 the chime stops...unfortunatly I loose my radio when I do that.
A friend suggested the drivers door switch, maybe the truck thinks the door is open when the lights are on giving me the ding...ding...ding. However, the door/dome lights go out when I close the door so I know the switch is making its contacts. I don't know of a module/relay that I could check out.
