One of my window motors has a bad gear. The motor still works but doesn't raise the window up or down. How do I take the door apart to replace it? I undid all the bolts, now do I just pull on the door cover to unhook the snaps?
Once I do that, how do I remover the motor from the inside the door?
Check this site, but you're right about pulling. Once the panel is loose, you'll have to disconnect the wiring from the back of the switches and work the panel over the release lever.
To remove only the motor, find the dimples that line up with the 3 motor bolts and drill a 1/2" hole at each so your 8mm (5/16")socket will fit thru. (I find it easier to disconnect the wires before unbolting the motor.)
To remove the whole regulator, remove the armrest support and drill out the 4 rivets, then extract the regulator & motor from the door skin.
