Ok usually I can figure this stuff out but this one has me baffled. The chime goes off when I first turn the key on for a bit and then goes out no problem there. But when I leave the key in and open door it doesn't go off nor when I leave the headlights on with out the truck running and door open does it go off. My dome light works properly, my head light switch isn't melted, and on the chime box its self I have a wire that powers up when I turn the lights on.

Am I missing the ground from my door switch ? I found one broken wire in the door wiring it self and that fixed my passenger window switch not working.
I realize most people don't want this chime to work, but I forget to turn headlights off sometimes and I don't want a dead battery or to lock my keys in. Stuff not working the way its suppose to drives me nuts.

Well I figured it out. I found a wiring diagram in my service manuals. I found out that the red with a pink stripe wire should be powered when the door was open.
This wire wasn't powered up so I pulled the door jam switch and swapped it with the one from the passenger side. And the chime started going.
One less thing to fix now
