this is pretty much the exact same knock im hearing from my passengers side.. sounds like its up around #1 or #2
how can i check them ?
do i really have to pop her vc cherry?
maybe a bottle of lucas injector cleaner before i crack it open?
oh btw...
xtof
Don't think it will be has easy has Lucas. Mine has done it since the previous owner put in new injectors. One other member on here had his stop after changing a couple of injectors. I have read how to check injectors and yes it invoved removing VC. I have learned that all fuel knocks are not caused by the same thing.
In response to those referring to my video, it was suggested I do a better job of using fuel additive and they were correct in assuming I hadn't done this before then. Another lesson learned the hard way before the Brotherhood set me straight.
I tried a few like DieselKleen and Red something-or-other Fuel Catalyst. I ended up buying the Motorcraft stuff [LINK] by the gallon from the dealership. I bought a couple of the regular bottles to refill because they fit in the driver's door pocket, they're easy to measure, and easy to pour.
Is it more so because of worn injectors or dirty plugged up poor spray pattern injectors?
Every now and then I notice a little louder than normal diesel knock but I sometimes just blame it on worse than normal fuel. I have done all the o-rings on the top end and a FRx and run 2 cycle oil.
The different knocks don't bother me much so long as it isn't missing.
Also a fuel knocking injector won't show up with a buzz test correct?

Tugly, is the second video yours to? Thats how mine sounds when its bad. It goes back and forth, sometimes there and sometimes not. I'm changing one injector soon. Its funny my neighbor has the same truck, five months newer, dosen't use anything, more miles and sounds great. He dosen't believe in cavitation additives either. Some guys got all the luck. How much a gallon for the ford additive?
