side step ideas / brands

I have an extended cab with 2-3 inches of lift and LOVE it. My 6 year old and 3 year old are upset though....they can no longer climb in the back seat by themselves. They want running boards like I had on my 2wd crew cab f250. That aint happening! Do you guys / gals have any ideas of what has worked for you. I really don't want anything huge hanging down and they seldom ride with me so I was looking for something that could fold or swing out of the way. As I looked, I very quickly became overwhelmed. Any ideas / pics / or examples of what helped yall in a similar situation would be helpful. Thanks ahead of time.

The Amp steps are sweeet! I dont have them but have seen them in use and the owner raved about them even in wintry weather.

Yep, what Quad Racer said! Amp Steps are the way to go, the quality of the product is top notch.

Pics of my Amp steps in the thread below. If you want a shot from another angle, etc, let me know.

Check out N-Fab. They offer a couple of different styles but I like their original version. They give you look of rock sliders, which IMO always look good on a lifted off road truck, along with a step to help out the shorter folks.

The amp research ones looked great, I just wish I could modify or adapt their bumper step for under the smaller back door. CARR has one that slides out for under the utility beds that would be awesome if I could somehow modify it. The dominator IIs don't look to bad, I actually think they may be smaller and more streamline than the single hoop I have now. I am still on the hunt. It does not "have" to be swing or fold away. Thanks to all those that have shared though.

Those N fabs look great. I may go that route. If you have some on your cab and a half, let me see them. All that keeps popping up on the internet search is Jeeps, hummers and FJs.

Just measured, my steps hang down 6" at the lowest point. Very well built and solid mounting brackets too

I had them on my previous truck. But give the folks at N-Fab a call. They are very helpful and likely have a picture or two they could share with you.
