Been debating for awhile now and still not sure if they're worth the money, but I ordered em anyways. Should be here in a week or so, hopefully.
I'll post pics when I get it done.
I am interested too.. mostly cause my wife 5'2" has a shoulder problem and the long step up on the 250 has been bothering her.. I think I can get a 3 inch lowering of the first step up.. its all tradeoffs..
Amp makes 2" extensions to lower the step from the standard position, but not sure where the standard step will be in relation to the OEM steps. I'm hoping the standard Amp steps are a bit lower than the OEM steps.
They're sooooo nice. I love mine (so do the wife and kids). I can measure mine when I get home if you'd like a specific "from here to here" measurement.
They're definitely worth the money, the first effect is that they make your truck seem taller if you already had a set of steps installed. The second is that they actually drop and inch or two lower than the stock steps so its easier for people to enter the vehicle.
The install is a huge pita, I did it myself. I ended up drilling holes in the rad support and routing the harness on top it while using zip ties. I've had them on for a couple months now and they still work without any issue.
These steps are great. One of the best engineered products I have come across. Everything was a perfect fit. I ordered my truck without running boards and had the amp steps waiting in the garage when the truck arrived. They have seen one Michigan winter with all of the road salt and still look just as good as the day I put them on.

sure, thanks..
ground to step surface,
step surace to door sill..
Love mine too, should look into 3m along the sides to protect your paint.
I got a quote earlier of $400 for a 12" strip along the bottom that was 4ft long behind the front tires and 1.5 ft long behind the rear tires. Not sure it's worth that much money IMO. Plus, the film is most visible on black paint. Go figure my truck is black.
These Trail Grapplers don't really seem to pickup/throw rocks like the A/T tires I had before did. I have no new rock chips in the 4,000 miles I've had these Trail Grapplers.
Andrew...you will love them. I ordered my truck with the 5" tubes steps and ripped them off a week after I got the truck and installed the AMPs. They are awesome and they are out of the way if you ever take that thing off road.
