I replaced all the fuses and did a OPS check, all are operational. I just replaced brake switch after checking if there's power, one side of the connector is hot and the other isn't, this should be the norm. Went ahead and connected the switch and there's still no brake lights. The only thing is I replaced the steering collar because the shifter handle retaining pin section was wal-lowed out, which created allot of play and fixed the horn. Could there be an disconnection from making this repair? What's the answer guys?
Do you have your ign switch on while doing the check? We had a nice debate a while back over that issue. It is way too small of a thing for me to fret over, but I have to have my ign. switch on for the lights to work.
One wire is hot, depressing the brake pedal closes the circuit causing lamp to light.
Most brake lights do work without the switch on but that's a good thing to check. Since you worked on the column, I'd suspect the juice is leaking out in there somewhere. Power for the brake lights has to go through the turn signal switch.
OK! That has to be the problem, but the turn signals work. The reverse lights work also! and they don't work if the ign is on either.

Something went wrong when you unplugged your turn signal wiring? The turn signal interrupts the brake light signal when it flashes one side or the other.
If the brake switch is functional, then I'd look carefully at turn signal switch/wiring.
