Backup lights are dim

Backup lights are dim

I have a 1990 F-150 and the reverse lights work but they are dim. Can anyone think why they would do this?

Backup lights are dim

Look for a bad ground and or coroded connections. I believe there is a connector right above/behind the plate holder
