Question on 65 F250 and Cab rust..

Hello,
Tomorrow I am going to look at a 65 F250. It looks like a pretty good deal, especially since the truck will be for home duties. Pulling stumps, runs to the dump and various release points for caught wild critters, and bringing home lumber and other large items. Not for cruising and such.

But.. There is this one area at the front of the driver's side door frame that concerns me.. And I am not sure if it should. I am ok with have to replace Rocker panels and such.. But I figured an educated opinion would be good.

I have a couple pictures of the rust in question. It is the bottom front of the door frame, truck side. and in the driver's foot well on the same wall.

And the truck itself..

Is this a fairly simple repair, or major structural damage?

Thank you,
Randy

Welcome Randy! I have seen that truck over on the HAMB... last pic tells everything you need to know, see the big gap between the fender and door towards the bottom and how it get close towards the top? Needs front cab mounts for sure! rust in the floor, not a big deal... rusted out cab mounts! will take a ton of work to fix which in most cases means removing the cab. Good news is they do sell front cab mounts if you have the skill to fix it. if not, keep looking, these trucks are everywhere and cheap. it's not worth a ton of money just because it has some lettering down the side.

Bill, Thank you very much for that. I was afraid it was far worse than I had hoped. And as luck would have it, I was unable to make the trip to check out the truck today anyway.

So back to my Truck shopping

Thank you again!
