Where does the jack go?

I remember some having trouble replacing the jack to the proper storage area, so I took some picks yesterday when I was searching for a place to install my coolant bypass filter.

Hussler, I noticed yours is installed a little differently than mine, and it may be more correct.

Guess we will need a third opinion as I've never had it out, but previous owner(s) might of.

When I took mine out a year ago or so, when I went to put it back I must admit it gave me a little trouble. Sometimes I have a terrible memory.

i found the best place to put the stock jack is the garbage can.

a 2 or 3 ton hydraulic jack works much better.

i never even knew my truck had a jack from the factory for the first 5 years i had it.
when i picked the truck up, someone at the dealership put a large shop towel over the jack and i used it to wipe the dipstick when i checked the oil.
i spilled some oil, and grabbed the towel to clean the spill, and found the jack.
imagine my surprise when i found the jack there.

I take them out, they rattle and rarely can be of any use but a tire stop.
