Keyless entry combination

The code is in the jack compartment, you just have to stand on your head to find it. When you open the compartment, look toward the front of the vehicle. You'll need a small mirror and a flashlight. The module to which the code is taped can only be seen as you pull back on the plastic housing that holds the jack cover; it sits on top of the left rear wheel well. It's a pain in the butt, but using the mirror and flashlight you'll see a 5-digit code, usually in larger type than all the other numbers on the module. If you need instructions on using the code (locking/ unlocking 1 door/ all doors/ tailgate), just let me know.

Lightbulb Keyless entry combination

I just have to say "thanks" to everyone who contributed to information about where to find the key-code combination.
I have a 2001 Explorer sport 2DR, and I read all your posts, went out to the explorer's jack compartment, took off the cover, and towards the front of the compartment was a WHITE computer module. I took a flashlight and pulled on the plastic edge right in front to make some space to see, shined the light on the FRONT of the module, and HALLELUJAH!, there it was. It was really quite simple. Thanks again ALL of you who posted this.

By the way I am really interested to see if anyone has used the K&N air filter, and if so, what kind of results did you get? I have heard nothing but positive response from other makes of car owners, including my dad.

Thanks

Found the codes on my 99 explorer in the rear near the jack on the computer 5 digits, but hard to read without a flashlight

I have a 2001 Sport Trac. I looked where the jack was, but sure didn't see it. The only thing back there is the speaker and amp. Any clues where else to look.

Can you change the code?

Is there anyway to change the original code that was programmed by Ford?

Look in the jack compartment. I found exactly where the sticker used to be. At that point you know that it has been removed and there is no point in looking any further. I took mine to the dealer and they retrieved the code for me. I think it cost something like $35 but it was covered under warranty.
