Well i was driving this past weekend and my fuel filter light came on so i pulled over to the side of the road and shut the truck off. I went to take the fuel filter off to see if there was an air space in the filter. Well as soon as i cracked the filter loose I had fuel pouring out. I tightened the filter back onto the housing. Then i took a gatorade bottle and drained the filter and to my surprise, the filter was full of gunk and maybe a quarter inch of diesel on the top of it all. I walked to the nearest parts store and bought a new filter, and installed it. Started the truck up and the light came back on after two minutes. Had the truck towed home and I drianed the fuel tanks/cleaned and went and bought 15 gallons of clean diesel (Gas Station that I was buying fuel from shut down due to contaminated tanks). But once again the fuel filter light will not turn off. Any ideas? No lack of power. ( Can still roll coal through all gears without any hesitation or sign of lack of fuel).
