The php chip I got has 6 positions, but I only use 1. 140 hp tune. I should say I use 2. High idle is the other. FWIW php is probably the cheapest mentioned, and I am very happy with mine. Send an email or call Jim at Rosewood Diesel, he is one of our site sponsors and sells the php chip yet I think. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-in-stock.html This is his thread here, you can click on his signature to go to his site. You won't be able to get more than 60 horse or so out of your stock injectors, but he will help you out with what you want. I am way far from a computer/electrical guy too, so don't feel like you're alone. If you want one of the other chip options, I'm not much help as I haven't dealt with anyone else but DP tuner, and that was very brief.

You don't need a boost relief valve. I did the 10k mod thing for a while and in my opinion its a waste of time really. I noticed nothing at all.

Alright I just ordered that map sensor, riffraff intake, new turbo boots, and an exhaust tip. The tips just cause I was in a spending coma! Once again thanks guys, and for the tuners gonna wait and make sure that everythings running top notch before I go throwing more money on uneeded items, (like that exhaust tip) haha. Once I get that stuff put on I will re-post and let you guys know how well she runs. Thanks again!

Im back and here it goes, I put on the 6637 intake kit from Riffraff, bought and installed a new MAP sensor, replaced all my turbo boots, change oil filter and fuel filter fired her up and NO difference still lacking power. My buddy who has a truck like mine said he doesnt even use 1st gear and I have to after each stop. He also can burn his tires off, Not what I want to do but still Im not even close. I did check the screen on my fuel filter and it was clean, fuel pressure is 65-70psi at idle, Im not smoking at all, from idle to 3200rpm, not burning a lot of fuel getting aboout 18-22mpg. Im completely lost. I took it to a diesel shop here in town that work on logging trucks, and semi's and had one guy go for a ride, he said deffinitley has some kind of power issue. He told me to take it to a shop somewhere. What the heck do I do now? Please Help!!!!

First thing I think I'd do is hook up a fuel gauge and check the fuel pressure under load to rule that out. Then I'd look at hooking up a high pressure gauge to read the hpop pressures next.

We'll see what others say this morning.

Try draining your fuel bowl and then filling it back up Powerservice. Give those injectors a straight shot of cleaner, I've done that a few times.

Does the truck feel like it has more power when the engine is cold as compared to hot?

The truck just seems to lack power hot or cold always the same. And to be honest Im kind of wondering if its compression problem from what ive heard from friends. The only reason I say that is Ive change glow plugs twice in the 18 months ive owned it and it still will cold start in the mornings every time its 45 degrees or less. But then again I think it would smoke more to. It never smokes no mater what rpms or what Im hauling, only when it blows white smoke right when it starts(cold). Whats this about the cleaner after emptying the fuel bowl I would love to give this a try. And just so you guys know when I changed the glow plugs last time we took a tester and tested all the injectors and they all had the same reading, sorry to say not sure what they were but they were all the same. Same thing with the glow plug relay tested fine as well. Im at a lost for words getting ready to say "forsale" which is the last thing I want I love this truck but just one of those things. Looked into getting rebuilds and that aint gonna happen.

If that was the case Mike, what would that mean? HPOP?

possible HPO issue. Meaning after oil is warm and thinned it could be bleeding off some pressure past injector Orings or ipr orings

Injector pressure regulator on the back of the HPOP pump. If they get bad the high pressure oil isn't regulated the way the computer is telling it to. Does it start hard when its hot?

It will start hard when its hot, If I let it set for a couple days or more. Like camping for a few days then going to leave it could be 65-70 degrees out and it will barrel out white smoke while its trying to fire then when it does it rocks the truck side to side for aboout 5-10 secs then idles out smoothe and smoke goes away.
