Get an overhead creeper it make all the difference in the world. I borrowed one and did my heads last summer. Did not seem as bad as some make it out to be. On the other hand it is not the simplest job to do either. I did remove half the hvac box. And I have a break down cherry picker to lift the heads W/exhaust manifolds on and also installed the heads with the exhaust manifolds on. You will also need a 250# torque wrench. I did it over a two week span and took my time to make sure it was a onetime deal. This forum is your best resource and the people on here are very helpfull and full of knowledge.

A good set of wrenches and sockets with a variety of extensions and sizes, 1/4, 3/8 1/2 inch with universals will make it easier also.

Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC). On the passenger side in the back there is a black plastic cover over the evaporator and it splits in two. If you remove the outer half you can get to the valve cover and head bolts easier.
