Need help with year & model
Hi, I'm looking to buy a truck. I know I want a 73-79 F-series, but I'm hoping to get help narrowing down my search.
What I know for sure is that I want a supercab (or crewcab) 4x4. I don't care what engine and I don't care what size bed.
Right now I'm searching for all years 73-79 and all models (F-150, F-150, F-350).
Is this how I should do it, or can I narrow my search? For example, it would help if I knew that the supercab 4x4 only came in, say the F-250 75-77 or something like that.

My friend, my friend. The Crewcab and Supercab 4x4s.......*sighs*....are hard to find.
73-77 F250s are High boys
78-79 F250s are not.
^ Take note of these cause people will try to say they have a highboy and want to jack up the price on ya.

Not to hard to locate where I am from, here is a 4x4 and a 2wd not to bad priced IMO?
1978 ford 4x4 supercab/Trade
1978 ford f150 ranger lariot
The 1/2 ton F150 4x4 supercab (like a ext cab) will have a leaf spring front suspention, but a 5 lug rim.
The 3/4 ton F250 4x4 supercab will also have a leaf spring front suspention but be 8 lug.
2wd 1/2 and 3/4 ton are coil spring/radious arm front suspention.
Late year 77 to 79 will have disk brakes and probably a better chance of a/c.....
