I'm looking for a picture or a good explanation of where the slip fit downpipe would be secured. I understand that I will need to weld a tab to it, just not sure what it mounts to.
Also, would anyone have measurements to fab the downpipe?
The ATS downpipe should already have the tab on it (at least the one I got from them did). There is a slotted metal strip a few inches long with a 90 degree twist in the middle that goes from the downpipe to the exhaust on the passenger side. I can't remember if it mounts to the manifold itself, or the cast y-pipe the crossover connects to. I have to run to work, but hopefully someone else has a picture handy for you.
No picture, but as stated the twisted piece bolts to the tab on the downpipe, and the other end bolts to one bolt that connects the cross over pipe to the bottom of the Ypipe. I tightened the cross over pipe, and secured the down pipe with another nut.
I'm going to have to build a downpipe, so I don't have anything to go off of. I was thinking that I could weld a couple of tabs to the outlet housing and the downpipe to hold it in. And then maybe a strap down low to support it at the bottom.
