the fiberglas will NOT come through if the floor is machine trowled to a proper finish. the pump truck is a good idea
Absolutely correct. If the fibers are exposed at the surface it means that not enough creme was troweled up to the flats. Fine line there, too much creme weakens the surface layer.
I for sure will be adding a lift at a later time, I have already made the plan to go either 6" or 8" deep.
My good friend is a plumber, so he will be doing the piping for the water and what not. I really just want a urnil and a large sink in there.
Thank's for all the input!
FWIW, imo a regular toilet would make more sense in the long run. It may save you a "long run" at some point as well. Think about it.....
Besides, urinals aren't that much cheaper than toilets, some are more expensive, and then there is that pesky "hanging on the wall" vs. sitting on the floor.
Sure the toilet might be better but how do feel about cleaning the poo stain's caused by your buddies? I know i don't want to clean after them, A urnil is just simpler and easier to maintain.
Either way, Other then the floor. Everything else is still up in the air and not set in stone yet.
I used to have to clean the restrooms in a gas station on I5 & SR530, a few miles north of you. Skid marks are the least of your worries. Besides, then they will want to use the one in the house.....
just do a full tiled bathroom with a floor drain.... when cleaning is needed go in with some simple green or what ever cleaner floats your boat and a hose.
ive seen a few shops set up like that... one shop which had a steam pressure washer bay piped a pressure line to the bathroom which had a shower and was also fully tiled, they just steamed cleaned it once a week haha.
My shop bath has a walk in shower, ADA compliant right height elongated toilet and a wide spread grohe faucet on a granite top. I'm a builder and, I think, my customer base that visits my shop would expect something clean and decent there. Its been in place 3 years or so and I've never had anyone leave a mess...the surroundings seem to set the behavioral tone. Remember that this is used by tradespeople, clients and a whole bunch of my beer swilling friends who stop by regularly.
So what you're saying is if one of your customers or buddies has to land a, well let's say they have land a "jumbo jet" in your--well, let's calling the "airport". And if they land a little hard, they are the kind who will clean the skid marks from the runway, or if one of the "tires" blows out due to too hard a "landing", they will pick up the shredded pieces of the "tire".
