Wire Capacity?

The body is well-grounded, so just make sure your ground terminal is solid and the paint is removed for the best contact.

Wire Capacity?

I am almost positive I have a ratings chart in the barn. I took some ABYC electrical classes and I still have that stuff outside I think. If anyone really wants it PM me and I will email you a copy.

Wire Capacity?

I have asked for a copy of the chart (separately). Thanks!

Incidentally, some have expressed interest in Ford factory "overfusing". Over the weekend, I noticed the power seat circuit is fused at 30 amps. The supply wire appears to be #14 (judging by my stripper tool), although I did not find any markings and I believe the new Fords use Metric sizes. The heated seats power circuit is also fused at 30 amps, but that wire is somewhat bigger, but still only looks like maybe a #12. I assume the difference is due to the short interval of use on the PS. Of course in residential wiring we would use #10 for 30 amps.

I'm sure this is safe under the automotive circumstances, but I found it interesting.

MRBSS I have that info that you needed. There are three charts. You will need to cross reference and use the larger wire. The source of this info is ABYC. They are the unofficial governing body in the boat business. I have a full line of literature from them. If anyone needs something just shout. The info is in your mailbox.
