Why are you still gonna swap engine/trans? I think what you need is just a 2wd 7.3/zf truck that you can shorten with a 110 mig welder and some cutoff wheels, and you'll be happy

The more I was looking into it, the more I feel the same way. Ideally I wanted 87 with a 6.9L and a t19 in a ranger. Than I thought the weight was too much, so 87 RCSB 250 well that's all fine but still leaves the 6.9 and t19 when I want better fuel economy, I wanted 87 incase the idi ever went I could swap in a better engine cause no emissions 87 or older but as it looks I might buy my buddies 1990 IDI and shorten it thanks for the conversations guys !
