trade?

a guy wants to trade me a 1996 chevy truck. straight drive for my 87 ford f-150 auto and 4 wheel drive. mine is not the best shape. his appears to be in pretty good shape. even swap. what do y'all think? thanks

can you put an automatic transmission in a straight drive? how much and will it work ok?

You might could do a 700R4 trans swap in the chevy. Idk, 96 everything is pretty much computerized.

Is the chevy 4x4? V8? Pics?

Simply because I'm a Ford guy, and I won't settle for less quality than a Ford, I wouldn't trade a Ford for a Chevy like that. If you were trading an 87 Ford F150 for an 06 Chevy 1500, sure I'd do that and sell it and buy a Ford in better shape with lots of money to spare.
