I have a delimma. I'm on the dark side without a flashlight. I'm trying to get started and I Am lost. Got a nuetral safety switch on the transmission , running to a RF Express Kit, Start Button, 12 volt start switch ,Two wire Starter. I'm going to # 3 and #4 on the panel with the wires from the nuetral safety switch. # 4 on the panel going to one wire on push button, other wire from the push button to the panel to G a fused connection. #3 purple wire from panel to the connection on starter. Not sure how to wire switch ? The instructions get more confusing each time i read them i get more confused.I'm dying to get this thing running. I've tried calling Ron Francis but I am not very good over the phone. A Diagram would be very helpful if only i could get one.Any help would be appreciated
The Neutral Safety Switch is a inline switch... cut the wire going to your starter and connect the switch in between. I like to use a relay in to keep the power down going threw the Neutral Safety Switch/
In reality, you could wire the neutral safety switch anywhere along the wire route between the key switch and the starter solenoid. Personally, I'd have it between the key and the starter button so the button is dead if the trans is in gear. There's no real amperage going through that circuit, it's only enough to energize the starter relay. So imho, a separate relay for the n/s switch would be overkill.
I have no idea what an RF Express kit is, or what any of your connection numbers/letters mean, so I'm no help there. You'll have to figure out what connections go where as to where to wire in the n/s switch based on my description. I'm just not that much of a cross-dresser. LOL!

My first thought was 'Rat Fink' based on his avatar, but then caught the 'Ron Francis' mention in his note. They sell wiring harnesses and switches. Ron Francis Wiring
I connected my in line with the s terminal on the starter relay. I would check the functionality of the neutral safety switch while the wiring is loose. You should have continuity only when the transmission is in park or neutral, other wise out of gear. This can be done with a ohm meter.
I think "julie" served in the military as an electrician. way back before they allowed women in the Service. Ask numberdummy, I think they were in the same barracks ....
