Well I know its not a Ford and I apologize in advance for that. Got a buddy with a 93 Accord 5 speed. The issue is it will hardly move when in gear. Clutch feels normal and ok, and reservoir is full. I'm thinking the clutch is slipping and not engaging. Inputs?
Does that one have the external soleniods? My son had one and it turned ot to be the clutch and some other damage.
I would check the fluid on it. If its has the closed tranny with no dipstick and no drain plug then dropping the pan is not too hard. Anyhow we where hoping it was related to the gear stick sensor postion and it had it locked into 5th or something.
Have you tried manual shifts to see if it changes
Also can it go in reverse and drive?
He can try any gear but they all just rev all the way to redlining without it moving much. Not too sure when but I'm assuming while he was driving. He had to leave in the side of the road and get it towed home.

Okay well that sounds like my sons. It was bad news on that one the tranny had to get rebuilt.
Have him look under it at the tranny pan and see if there is oil there leading down from teh ring seal at the shaft.
I assume that this one has no dip stick. My sons did not either and ring seal leaked the fluid out and it basically cooked the transmission,
Did he hit any high water? Thats jst a thought in case theres water in the pin conenctions of the wiring harness.
Also anything falshing on the dash to indicate codes are set?
I'll have him check the connector. No warning lights. I had a feeling the trans would need some work. Thanks again guys,I'll get back to you all when we get further in
