man i just wanted to throw a pair of speakers in the front and back, now your gonna have me taking my entire interior out to dynamat every square inch of exposed sheet metal.
No need to do every square inch tux! Just do the inner and outer door skins of the front and back doors. I still have a few sheets of the dynamat left and one day I plan on taking my headliner out and doing the roof skin but I am really hopeing that something happens to those last couple of sheets so I wont have to do it!!
I installed the Infinity 609CS in my front doors just to see if they made a difference. I had the Boston Acoustics installed and was quite disappointed. I used the Hushmat Ultra and the new speakers, wow what a difference in sound quality. I can have the stereo cranked and do not hear the music on the outside like I used prior to the Hushmat install.
I plan on replacing the Boston Acoustics in the rear now that I know the Infinity speakers sound much better. I would definitely apply Dynomat or Hushmat to the doors, its worth the time.
I used Hushmat instead of Dynomat since I did not want to go through all of the prep work.
Only problem with the Infinity 609CS is that the tweeters are huge, I had to turn the tweeter settings almost all the way down.
When you say inside and outside do you mean the metal door on the outside of the glass (inside the door of course) plus what you have pictures of where the speakers can be seen?
What kind of extra prep work is needed for the dynamat?
Thanks,

John, click on the link in my post above and there are some pics in there of the installed dynamat in my sons 2003 7.3PSD, the doors are almost identical to ours in the 2012's.

It is just a general how to from Crutchfield...nothing special. I forgot about the main's being in the pillars. Thanks for correcting that.
Swapped and disconnected factory tweeter I would like to add an amp someday
I got them from Crutchfield and they came with the adapters to plug into the factory wires
