I went and searched. I found on some forums that the LLY aparently had a 63.5mm compressor... Not sure where I saw 66... Need to do more searching..

Still fleece can mod them to a 68 which would make a pretty mean combo on a fairly stock truck.

There are also 72mm versions that would be pretty sweet.

It wasn't my idea, but it is a cool sounding idea. Getting it running could be a trick, but I'm sure it could be done. It wouldn't bolt up to a standard t4 mount, it would need a custom built mount, oil lines are easy to build, but it's also water cooled, so water would have to be supplied from the heater core lines, and the inlet of the turbo would face straight forward or almost straight, so modification to the intake spider would be neccessary, if not the intake plenums themselves. None of that takes into account getting the VGT working. There are some guys looking into the VGT portion. Some are thinking the VGT could be run off of the EBP sensor and no stand alone controllers needed.

My buddies got a stocker I think of his 01. I need to see what dimensional is different on it vs a LBZ charger. If there the same mount I can fab up a mount off it. Time for some research.

It looks like the mount/uppipes could be a little tricky to mount b/c the turbo is designed to be mounted straight in the valley on the Dmax. So the inlet for the compressor faces straight forward when the inlet on the exhaust faces straight backward. So you'd either have to build the uppipes to mount the turbo at an angle or modify the plenums and/or intake Y so you can fit an intake up to the turbo. Probably be best to try to mount the turbo at an angle so you can get the downpipe out too.
