Hey guys, just touching base. Had a real busy day and ended up working late tonight so I wasn't able to get any testing done as I had hoped. I did manage to pick up my SG2 today so my plan is to get that hooked up and going tomorrow evening so I can post some numbers. Stick with me!
Well, my FTE friends I finally got my SGII hooked up and my X Guages programmed. Here is what I have. Some things seem off so I am also going to double check the codes I put into my scanner to make sure that isn't causing an issue.

The crank position sensor and syc (ficm sync i believe) are what caught my attention. Any thoughts?
Thanks for the help. Let me know if you can't understand this, it looks nice and organized into colums as I type it but gets bunched up in the preview. Tried it twice can't get it to keep the columns.
I found a different code for SYC on scanguage's website and now it shows 0 with key on and 1 while cranking. I'm wondering if it's the crank sensor. Doesn't everything else seem normal now?

Okay, ICP....
I get 0 with key on and 976 while cranking. Took a second to register, I cranked for about 6 seconds and it stayed there. Actually went to 979 before I quit cranking.

Javo - did you do the electrical tests on the CMP and CKP? Your readings really do look to me like it could be the CKP holding you out.
Hi Bismic! Sorry I didn't see your post before my last response. I have not had the chance to do electrical tests other than my Scan Guage. I had to work late last night and wasn't able to start on this until late today so I thought my time may have been best served to get the readings from my Scan Guage and post them. Unfortunately, it's getting dark here in Denver so I may wait to do that tomorrow in the daylight where I can see and get to everything. Although it looks like you may have been right all along!
Two side notes...
1. Glad I bought this Scan Guage, this thing is really helpful in getting information. At the very least I will never again have to move my degas bottle to get a ficm reading! Worth the price for that alone.
2. If someone else has a Scan Guage that monitors the crankcase position sensor correctly, could you possibly give me the programming code so I can check it against the one I have? My current code is showing 0 while cranking and I would like to double verify. No offense Blade, just wanna double check.
I'm confused.
If the FICM is in sync the pcm should be in sync since this is where it gets it from.
Why are there 4 sync codes? Shouldn't there just be 2? 1 for pcm 1 for ficm?
Blade provided me with four SYC codes (if I understand correctly) in his earlier post. I programmed all four and then tested so I could provide some feedback.

Does that help at all?
No... Ha.
I was actually asking Blade or someone else to explain what those 4 sync codes are.
According to Scan Guage's website the first of the four codes I listed (which matches their code) is...
"FICM signals for Camshaft and Crankshaft positions are in sync"
So if my crankshaft sensor was out how could this be in sync since my reader shows 0 with key on and 1 while cranking? This is why I think I may have the wrong code for this sensor.
