Yes I paint all that stuff on the truck. You can purty Much get to everything. I hold prices of cardboard behind some items as not to paint stuff that don't need to be.

Just curious why you would want to paint an aluminum drive shaft Tuxer? I think it's fine as is. Maybe polish it if it was a show truck (that would look really cool!)

Or are you talking about the front DS?

Thanks

I painted the first year and the first Northern NY winter removed all the paint. So I ended up saying the heck with it and tried the bed liner in a car stuff on it. It has been about a year and a half it stayed on after the winter and no problems yet. I did try my best to make sure the coating was as even as I could get it. Most mechanics I talked to about it said that it would be no big deal.

I used to weld aluminum for a living so I am not gonna argue this one. Call it whatever you like, it's aluminum.

Thanks

He's got one of those goofy extra long trucks that require a 2 piece drive shaft, which is made of heavier steel.....

its not two piece. and how could it be "heavier" steel if the short ones are supposedly not even steel to begin with.

I thought all LB truck had 2 piece drive shaft. Maybe it's a 250 vs 350 thing....

I meant the steel was heavier than aluminum.
