Yes the outside part of engine block rusts. It's right below cyl heads, and just above oil pan. There isn't alot you can see, but Ck it out

c'mon dude... me? never! but now that you mention it..... should i get tuxedo black metallic from ford and re do the driveshaft(s), axles, and engine block? lol jk

im not a fan of chrome for mechanical parts as it retains heat which in turn makes things run hotter, flat black transfers heat the most effectively.

Jeeze you got ready to start painting my truck now, front coils have some rusty spots already that are driving me crazy.

front steering components are buggin me, but thats a battle i cant win unless i remove everything properly - which im not doin. oh and theres a few unpainted rivets here and there that might get me to shoot em

I just have a couple spots on my coil, looks like something, doubt the tires, rubbed a bit and nows its rusty. Maybe Ill try your technique, give a scruff and paint, with black.
