We've had 6.51 inches since July 1, 2011, compared to 11.59 by this time last year. Last year was an unusually wet year, and this year is unusually dry. My 5 year average for this time of year is 8.35.

If all goes according to plan, we will be sitting on a lake watching fireworks on July 4th. They always start the fireworks show with a couple of fellows snow skiing down the adjacent mountain slope decorated with flares. They have to get them to the jump off point with a snow cat.
