I bought (2) 3' rolls of 3/4 wire loom at Oreilys and put it over that bright blue hose. It really cleans it up and protects it ,makes it look like it belongs under the hood. Have same kit and its very well made and solid mounting.
Great idea! I installed the sinister kit but am not liking the blue. Snuggy..I took out the plug in the housing and rewrapped it w/tape. It will need it.
picked it up today from my mailbox. it looks great!!!
i'll need to assemble it. hopefully, i dont screw it up. i'm tinking of getting some hose clamps tat will block off the flow of coolant so tat i can splice the intended part to put in the tee. let me know if tats unacceptable.
i just dont wan to mess up, and knowing me, i probably might, even though i know wat i'm doing. lmao!

Cool. Tat plug on mine is already pre-wrapped with Teflon tape and real snug in there too.

I didn't have a problem with mine fix it if it needs it, myself I prefer pipe dope but tape works fine too. Three wraps and your good. Hope you find the filters pleasantly clean as Rusty said. Mine gets a bit of really fine black material. EOT #s are good hoping the filter keeps it that way. Good luck with it 30 minutes and your done

good idea. I love my kit, but the blue is definately an attention getter. damn safety inspector was convinced it was some sort of nitrous system at first....until he figured out it was using coolant

easier method:
use 2 channel locks. clamp the hose about 1 foot on either side of the area where you'll cut to insert the "T". once all the fittings are tight, release the jaws. I think I spill a few ounces of fluid...maybe if even that.

wish I had originally seen that. My kit was assembled when it arrived. The joints had thread tape on them...but not enough. My fault for not checking them first. I had to take it loose and re-tape. Moral of story is to do it right once yourself

at first I was pissed you paid so much for the kit. I paid $115 for mine shipped from Sinister themselves....but then I realized the hat + $25 card equaled it all out. Now you have $25 to go do more mods....you done the Blue Spring yet?

two camps... the sinister coolant filter, and the dieselsite filter....
i'm gonna order the dieselsite one, and the dieselsite trans filter
as well, and honestly, the main reason why is when i was looking
online for solutions and parts for my engine rebuild, and everyone
i came across said don't under any circumstances use anything but
OEM head gaskets... and the sinister "fix all your 6.0 woes" kit has:
"EGR Delete Kit by Sinister Mfg. Company
Black Onyx Head Gaskets either 18mm or
20mm by Sinister Mfg. Company"
so you are nixing a company because they use BO/VR gaskets?
whatever floats your boat. Many shops actually order up their kit and use OEM gaskets instead. It's a good kit...just a minor hiccup.
I would have used the dieselsite filter except for their shipping practices. They wanted $50 to ship their filter setup to me. Then they wanted $32 to ship fuel filters and oil filter to me...I understand I'm in Hawaii, but shipping smaller items costs exactly the same as shipping something to say...California
