2004 ford ranger xlt 5 speed and 4.0 engine with 4X4 extended cab
I am helping a buddy bleed the brakes on this truck after installing both front loaded calipers. there is absolutely no air in the lines on all 4 bleeder screws but the brake pedal still goes to the floor with no resistance.
with the truck off the pedal becomes firm instantly but once the truck is started there is no pedal at all and goes to the floor.
is there another way to purge the system or something computer based that needs to be done?
I didn't think I had to considering the fluid never got bellow 1/2 while changing calipers.
I read something on the mitchell program that i should loosen the sensor on the front of the master cylinder as well as disconnect both lines on the side and route them into the top of the master cylinder and continuosly pump the brakes.
also noticed the front calipers are locked so tight there is no way the truck can even move now
