L & L Engine mounts

Who has used them? I am looking at a set for my 460 and they are a bit more money but if the quality is there I don't mind paying a bit more.

They want $130 for the set compaired to about 60 for a normal set.

a lot of people have used them... supposed to be pretty good. my brother has used them on a couple trucks, they fit with no problems. One of the 460's I got happened to come with some solid mounts or I'd have used the L&L's.

One thing I don't understand is what you mean when you say normal mounts. the L&L are usually used to convert one style stand to another motor, so there is no normal mount that would work.

If I changed my engine stands I could use a stock mount. I guess that makes more sense than normal.

Oh. well if you can swap to the correct stands for less I'd do that. Most people use L&L mounts because stock stands and mounts for the motor they want are hard to find or unavailable, and probably a lot of people use them because its 3 bolts on each side and the motor is in, versus cab stands on a 1/2 ton like mine meaning you have to unbolt the shock towers and all that, and those bolts are usually rusty to boot.

I used L&L's but once one breaks I'm going to get a set from WestCoast Bronco's pn 20710. Those ones won't ever break.

Those are a nice looking mount.
I had L&L's years ago and one broke, less than 2 years and 10,000 miles on them too.

I've been running L&L's since I did my 460 swap 13 yrs ago without problem. I have seen where some members have had problems so today I called and quizzed them about quality.

The response was that they have been using the same Vulcanizing process for years and have never had "batch issues". They come with a lifetime warranty (original purchaser) and if anyone has had a problem to contact them. L&L Products

Yeah all their stuff has lifetime warranties, as far as I know. They are the only ones that sell headers with a lifetime warranty. I always considered them one of the "cadillac" brands...

I think I will go with the L & L. No matter what I use I will have straps on just incase they break.

I went with the "Extreme Duty 460 Conversion mounts" from JBG - they're freaking awesome and BULLETPROOF. Even if the bushing gets destroyed/chewed up, the bolt is captive and can't let the engine flop around more than about 3/4" in either direction.

They were a little more expensive than the L&L product, but I think they'll be worth it for the long haul!
