Well now its time! We always wait a little to long. Did that and done that.
Good luck with the new pump. Saw Andy change one out for his dad in the driveway in about 30 minutes. It would take me alot longer.

That's why I tried to impress upon you the importance of preventive maintenance by swapping the water pump way back when you asked me about getting ELC.

I was unaware you were unable to get the pump off. Did I miss that thread/post? We could have helped you with that.

I have a squealing that I thought was my fan belt. Could it be the water pump?

Haha I would LOVE to. Unfortunatley I dont have the time to work all that out. Maybe down the road. But right now I need to get the truck reliable. I have been working 12 hours a day and driving 100-300 miles per day all week. I need minimal down time.

I was very aware that I should have done it. But I had evidence that the pump thats on is not factory, and I wasnt able to get it off. So I decided it would be okay.

I tried EVERYTHING to get that pump off. Even had a thread (its long gone now). I got the tools from Autozone, tried the monkey wrench... But I have a POA for this next go 'round.

I made it all the way to pismo and back without the pump crapping out. 300 miles round trip, but the pump is getting loud. When we stopped to air up at a gas station my friend came over and said "Dude, thats not leaking, thats draining."

yeah.. it was bad..
