Yahiko posted a youtube video that I watched, thats how I got as far as I got. All I can come up with is I'm to slow to input data. The scangauge would either go to sleep and when I push the home button to get back to where I was it would make me start over or it would skip ahead to another spot and not let me go back. Finally got frustrated and repacked the gauge. They can have it back, its to much for me.
OK Benny, you just made my day, the DUH comment was funny. I've got a buddy with the same rig so maybe I can set it up on his. I was pretty frustrated earlier. You gave me several gauges to input, can you have more than 4 at a time? Also need to know how to send reps. I would like to say thanks for all your help.

OK Good
You can take the SGII andPlug into ANY Auto 1996 or Newer for programing Purposes it can be plugged into a CAR Truck Van just has to have a OBDII plug
and program it with the X_Gauge codes once you hit save at end of programming the codes it will be saved even when it gets unplugged to swap to diffrent Vehicle codes will remain
Program it with the vehicle Running that will Stop it from going to sleep while entering the Codes
The codes I listed Relaite to NO START and they need to be checked
There are a TON more Codes for diffrent gauges 40-50 diffrent Codes/Gauges I can give you or anyone that has a SGII but check these out and we will go from therre
to give reps Click the Heart at top right hand side of persons Post
fbrtransbear,
Are your batteries fully charged your your truck? If they are low the ScanGauge will act screwy.
Sounds like it's a little late now but there is a way to power a ScanGauge while your sitting on the couch. This cable was figured out by a user named Sig40. Some of you guys might want to try it out (Benny). He also sent me a large type version of the codes for those of us who are "visuially disadvantaged"
Check his discription of putting the SG into TEST mode (#11 on the battery cable instructions). He said it keeps it from going to sleep and stablizes the display so it doesn't behave erratically.
GREAT INFO RUSTY
I did know folks were talking about linking 2 SGII together with a CAT6 wire
I saw a pic of two daisy-chained together somewhere on the web... I suspect you could link as many as 5-6 before your signal voltage got too low to be read at the end of the chain...
Wonder what happens when you take the SGII and Cat 5/6 wire and plug into the computer.
Since I had some CAT5 laying around....
Mine did nothing.
I thinking the Cat 6 wire plugged into computer will power it on too as it throws power/ground on the same pins
A network connection probably doesn't use 12V or anything close to it. I'm thinking 5V max, which wouldn't be anywhere near enough.
