Gave up on my center console, anyone want it, $250 plus shipping. Too much hassle for the kids to flip a seat up.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to add a word of caution for anyone who removes the center seat.

My seat got stuck in the "UP" position and I had to remove it so I could carry cargo. I simply put the bolts that held the seat back into their respective holes. When I did, I failed to notice something important.

There is also another *larger hole* in the floor where there is no bolt. This hole gets "plugged" by a portion of the seat track. I have no idea what it's for.

If you don't look too close, you might think this hole is in a top layer of sheet metal with more metal underneath it. So, upon casual inspection it might not look like it's a hole clear through to the outside world.

But, in reality, this is not the case. The metal you see underneath the hole is in fact *outside* the confines of the passenger cabin. By shining a light into the hole at night from just the right angle, you can see the driveway underneath the truck. I never noticed this during the daytime.

Why did I find it at night? Well, you see I discovered mice were getting into my truck and nesting inside the cabin. It quickly became apparent they were entering through this hole where the center seat used to be.

So, if you remove your center seat, be sure to plug this extra hole! And please do it in a way that's safe, won't allow fumes to enter the cabin, and won't create any sort of fire danger. Oh, yeah, be sure whatever you use will also keep out mice.
