Navigator 2nd row console
I just finished the installation of the navigator 2nd row console, into my 2007 XP
I didn't buy the brackets for another $120.00, so I just bought some 3/8 bolts and washers and installed the console over the passenger front floor mat (collateral damage) to cover-up the carpet holes from the 20% middle seat.
Take a look and let me know what you think

I will post some more 3 at a time I think is the limit.
view from passenger door
Inside with out console mat
Bolt through floor underside
Overall, I must say what a big improvement to the passenger in terms of comfort,no more sliding the seat is roomy but now it feels like the front bolster seat.
I had a choice to buy a ford navigation or the console.

The navigations unit are always available.
Now I have to sell the 20% seat
More later

Just got mine - went to see how difficult it was going to be to install. I am reluctant to cut the carpet in anyway, and am therefore having trouble finding the holes for the bolts to go in. Can you give me a rough idea of where they are? Sorry, I am in no way mechanically inclined, this should take me like 4 hours! Oh, and what 3/8 bolts did you use?
Thanks

CAUTION,CAUTION,CAUTION,CAUTION,CAUTION,CAUTION,CA UTION,
DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK

There are NO HOLES, The ONLY holes are from the seat see picture I had to drill the holes into the floor of the truck between the seats.
When I removed the 20% section seat the carpet had cutouts where the seat bolts were
I just placed the console into the center and lined it up between the seats with the front console over the front seat holes MARKED WITH RED X IN PICTURE I use two rolls of painters blue 3/4 tape in between the two seats as a spacer and used Elmer's white glue squeezed glue into the console (4) holes they are 1 inch deep could not use a marker etc plus carpet is BLACKto mark holes removed console and I had 4 white spots let dry and started to drill small med, final 3/8

OK you got it!
I used the front passenger floor mat same glue deal for marking holes
place the carpet down predrilled the holes and with console on top of mat I used 3 inch 3/8 in bolt with 3/8 small washers X8 for inside console from HDepot underneath the truck see image

I used a larger 3/8 spread washer and a lock washer then the nut. $5.00 in hardware.
That was it just make sure you DON'T OVER TIGHTEN the console will start to fold-in onto itself(((ASK ME HOW I KNOW)))

I GUESS that is why the brackets are about $120.00
the front and rear seat bolts have plastic floor covers I reinstall the rear bolts and covers
Overall I'm very pleased with the results.
I hope this helps you.
