CEL ?

Is the only way to get it to turn off through the obd II port? I had a bad map sensor and replaced it and it's still on.

Disconnect the batteries and let it sit over night. Should be enough to re-set it.

CEL will turn off after you replace the defective part. Code in memory will remain for a period of time though. What's the code ?

Not sure on code. Took it to the ford dealer and they told me I needed a new map sensor.

I don't pay. Luckily I have two cousins that are mangers there so the stealership is my best option next to doing it at home.

It's actually really nice cause I don't get jerked around, I get parts at cost, and my labor rate is 60/hr if I ever have them do the work. Which is rare. Just mostly get diagnostics done and parts for cheap! if they weren't there I would never even set foot on their lot.
