Sputtering when stopped

What would cause my 83 f150 4x4 5.8liter pickup to almost stall when at a stop light, but otherwise drives normally.

Too low of an idle speed setting.

I've had the truck for a year and this morning was the first time this happened. What would be the chances of having a vacuum hose leak or clogged fuel filter. If it were the filter, wouldn't the truck have problems whether it was doing 5 or 50?

A vacuum leak is certainly a possibility, and you're right about the fuel filter.
