Louder Than Flowmaster 50?

All the exhaust threads on here talk about the Flowmaster 50 SUV and Flowmaster 70 Big Block... Well after having the Flowmaster 50 SUV for a couple of months it has left me wanting more.. Now I have a single cab truck the the muffler is located behind the cab, I get almost no noise in the cab at all from the muffler, so I am not worried about drone.. Worst of all, my wife has a Kia Soul with a Doug Thorley brand axle back exhaust kit, and in all honesty her exhaust sounds 10x better than mine its deeper and louder haha..

I am thinking about trying out a Flowmaster 44, as they claim its the "deepest" sounding muffler they make, I might even try a turn down right after the muffler as well??

Any thoughts??

Dynomax VT. Flowmaster will drone, been there done that. I love the VT on my 00, very throaty, way better sound than the Flow 40 I had on before. Whenever I get the trans buttoned back up n the truck running, I'll get a few sound clips.

Also going to ditch the stock cat in favor of a Flowtech or Thunderbolt universal high flow cat. Should really deepen the tone with that too.

I had an origional 40 series with side exit and it was semi loud, with no drone. Currently have a Dynomax race bullet muffler with the side exit and couldnt be happier. It is pretty loud and gets that old school V8 tone. Completely drone free as well.

The deepest tone I've heard from a V10 is the stock exhaust on my 05. I had a 2000 V10 with FM50's and rear exit pipes and it sounded like an indy car. I actually kind of enjoyed it to an extent, but there was some drone, and the loud exhaust gets old after a while. The 6.8l V10's have a unique sound all their own, I don't know of anything that will give them a deep v8 sound.

Better off with a chambered muffler on the V10 in my experience, they just sound better. The V10 is somewhat unique in the sounds dept because it is an even fire engine. (not odd fire like the 5.4l) A 5.4l is going to sound different than the V10 all things being equal, just the way it is.

You could try going to a Flowmaster 50HD which is louder than the 50 SUV or a Super 40. Both have the thicker 5" case which I'd recommend due to the extra capacity. The super 40 will be the loudest of the 2.
