i thank you for reply and will get back to you when i have info-it is a 2003 f-250 4x4 crew cab 6.0 diesel with 29,000 miles-it quit running and would not restart and had it towed to local ford dealer for repairs. i am at 3300.00 for repair. thank you. larry
no aftermarket on it. this i will know in about 2 days has to what is really going on with it. i meant fuel regulator and fuel injection meter . not knowing what it is is very frustrating. i am sorry to confuse anyone. thanks
Often times we see folks call the high pressure oil sensor (ICP) and regulator (IPR) the "fuel regulator and sensor" (because the injectors are operated using high pressure oil as a hydraulic fluid). However, the diesel fuel pressure regulator and the injectors themselves are also a possible fit for what you are saying.
Since yours is an 03, it is probably the ICP and MAYBE also the IPR.
29,000 miles on a 03? I think I would get a second opinion before I shelled out $3,300 on a truck that just quit driving down the road which was running perfectly.
