I appreciate any help on this issue..about a month ago.had to replace cam sensor with a dealer one and truck ran great for 2 weeks.then started idling rough with no cel on....I had read fords cam sensors were no good.so I replaced it again with a borg warner.now truck stumbles and jerks periodacly during highway speeds and if I press gas pedal hard during any time the cel comes on .and might stay on for a few minutes...had auto store scan.but couldnt pull no codes.they said cel had to be on.so I guess no stored codes..could someone with knowledge of these psd clue me in on anything...I have changed cps twice.neew fuel filter.oil change and all fluids are good..please help. i love my truck
There ARE stored codes...they can't see them with the common OBD reader. You will need to find someone with an AutoEnginuity unit or a dealer can scan it. The problem sounds like it could be the UVCH (under valve cover harness). Do a search for UVCH and you will see that it is a common problem and usually, easy to fix. Where are you located, maybe one of us with an AE can help you out?
hi and thanks for the reply,,,,,im located in charlotte,nc near the big town of mt.holly,nc..I will certainly look into that and certainly do appreciate the info on the harness issue
