Trans limp mode

I drove my truck about 2 hours die the hill we call it. I parked it for 2 hours. Got in it the over drive light was flashing and the Trans was in limp mode. I turned the truck on and off twice nothing happened. I pulled off the battery cable for 15 min and it reset itself. 2 years ago I replaced the sensor up by the oil fill with the 2 wires by it , because the Trans did the same thing and the wires were frayed. I remember there was a sensor that measured altitude? Any help would be great. Thanks

You think there will be codes when I unhooked the battery? I will check a history. It will be Tuesday before I can take it in

has the light came back on since you unhooked the bats? if the light has not come back there might not be codes but i am not positive.

No light since. drove it home and some place else total of 3 hours. Ruins great. The trip was a drop in elevation. About 2,500 elevation drop. That's why I was wondering about the baro sensor
