Move C250 pin #14 Circuit #16 to C251 pin #11.
Move C250 pin #1 Circuit #904 to pin #12 C251
Leave taped back C251 pin #12 Circuit #608.
Move C251 Pin #6 Circuit #29 to pin #5 C250.
Swap C251 pin #2 & #3.

Note you will not have an air bag light in the cluster with Circuit taped back.

Let me know if this works for you. I just looked at the pin locations so I do not 100% guarantee this at all.
But the alternator should charge OK.

I know this is an older post, but I just pucked up a 1996 f350 cluster with tach and want to put it in my 1992 f350, both are 460 gasser trucks. Anyone know what pins need to be switched? Thank you

Would be something like this.
Move C251 pin #11 Circuit #16 to C250 pin #14.
Move C251 pin #12 Circuit #904 to pin #1 C250
Move C250 Pin #5 Circuit #29 to pin #6 C251.
Swap C251 pin #2 & #3.

The 1994 above is close to the 1996 except for the ABS circuit in the 1996.

Ok everything works but gas gauge goes past full. Even tried switching back the fuel pins and it still goes past.

Ok found out the pin fuel fuel with tach did not have to be moved to the other plug, on a side note were did you get those pin outs? I have all data diy and they dont have diagrams like that.

Did it work before you swapped cluster?
An open would make the gauge read passed full.
If so you would need to start another thread.

It did work yes. I updated my post. The fuel with tach was in correct plug. And the fuel without tach just stays as there is no connection on the printed board

Sorry for the bump but...

Trying to find pinout diagrams for an '87-91 F350 gauge cluster. Wiring the original (1988) gauge cluster into a Painless wiring harness for a '77
