'98 Exploder 5.0 MAF?
Hey guys, most likely getting a used engine out of a '98 explorer for my '92 F-150(5.0). Just wondering if the exploder uses the same MAF sensor as the OBD-1 MAF trucks? A maf conversion is in the plans for the truck sometime, so I was thinking I'd snag the maf sensor and wires off the exploder while I have it.
I do show looking up the parts online they call for a different part number, but didn't know if that was just because of a different connector or something like that.

The explorer will have the newer style connector on it so you can either swap the connector out on your harness or drop an earlier sensor in the housing with a connector that matches your harness. The distributor off your F-150 5.0 should drop in, just make sure it has a steel gear ('92 5.0 should be roller cam so all's good). You might also need to swap fuel rails as I'm not sure when the explorer went to a returnless fuel rail setup. Maybe mid '98 or '99...
