Spectre Performance Modular Air Intake Systems - SummitRacing.com

they fit 5 1/8 inch carb necks, would they fit an IDI?

If youre goin CAI best thing you can do is get the filter out of the engine compartment. Even NA i would fab up a neck for the intake in place of the filter housing, and run the intake in between the inner fenders, or relocate a battery and build a shield. I got around to doing the latter and made a world of difference for me.

EDIT:

Pic finally loaded. Nice looking stuff, but i cant imagine where you would put them.

You can turn them and get more pieces, thats just an example how to set them up, i was gonna have them come off the splitter in the intake, out about 4-5 inches then turn the 90's so the filters are pointing towards the fenders, then buy two more extensions and get them out there closer, and then fab up two tunnels that bolt to the fenders so the air is forced around the filter. any thoughts?

It comes with filters and the piece that bolts to the intake, think i may just buy the intake piece separate and fab up my own tubing.

I'd love a turbo, but its out of the question at the moment, I wanna get the chrome CAI because i'm powdercoating my intake chrome, exchanging the CDR for a slobbertube, possibly powdercoating my exhaust manifolds, and the valve covers if i can get a replacement sticker for them. so all that chrome, accented by dual chrome intakes......ooohhh shiny....

Did you find a carb hat that fit the idi intake? I'm interested in fabbing up my own intake as well.

A PCV piping through the hood is a good CAI

But this weekend, I saw an OBS IDI, and it had a ducting pipe underneath the front bumper, drivers side, waiting abit to see him about that, but didn't have time to wait, I wanted to see how he routed that, looked pretty effective, only down side though would be **** from the road getting in there.

Quick Reply: N/A IDI CAI?
