Exclamation Interior lights wont work, Help?!

First off i would like to say hello, im new to this site but not to my truck

Here is my problem, i have a 2006 f-250 crew cab 6.0. while i was trying to change out my interior middle lights to put in my new LED lights the bulb was to hot to take out by hand so not thinking at all i used my knife to try and pry it out and touched both post and ZAP now my middle light will not come one when i open up the door on both of the light pods and the cargo lights do not work. The lights on the side work perfectly fine so what gives? i went through and checked every single fuse (i dont have a manual so i dont know what fuse to look at) please help me?!?

From: Nevada,
Double check your fuses with a test light, and make sure it did not "spit" out any of the 3 that the system uses.

If it's not a fuse it could be a relay that you need to replace.

After thinking about this it maybe as simple as melting the actual socket to the plastic where the bulb is inserted, bulb may not be in contact? I don't know but that's where I would start at the fixture. especially if you didn't blow a fuse.

From: Nevada,
See the following, check for power at the bulb (test light), then check for ground. If you do not have power, i dont think your going to be to happy

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

Vehicle Security Module
The vehicle security module receives inputs from the following:

Door ajar switches
Keyless entry keypad
Ignition switch
Remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter
The vehicle security module uses these inputs to control an output signal to the instrument cluster which controls the battery saver relay and interior lamp relay. The battery saver relay and the interior lamp relay are internal to the instrument cluster, and are not replaceable.

Interior Lighting Systems
The instrument cluster grounds the battery saver relay and interior lamp relay coils when any door ajar switch is opened, or the interior lamp (headlamp) switch is closed. The interior lamp relay then supplies voltage to the interior lamp circuit. Vehicle speed must be less than 24 km/h (15 mph) for the instrument cluster to ground the interior lamp relay. The interior lamps remain illuminated for up to 25 seconds after all doors are closed unless the instrument cluster receives an input from any of the following:

voltage from the ignition switch.
a vehicle speed signal.
input from the keyless entry keypad through the vehicle security module.
input from the RKE transmitter unlock or panic switch through the vehicle security module.
Illuminated Entry
Illuminated entry is activated when the keyless entry keypad provides an input to the vehicle security module, or when the vehicle security module receives an unlock signal from the RKE transmitter. The vehicle security module then requests the instrument cluster to activate the battery saver and interior lamp relays by providing ground to the relay coils. Illuminated entry is deactivated when the vehicle security module receives a lock signal from the remote keyless entry transmitter or receives an input from the keyless entry keypad. Illuminated entry is also deactivated when the instrument cluster receives input voltage from the ignition switch.

Battery Saver
The battery saver is activated when the instrument cluster is not receiving voltage input from the ignition switch (OFF position). The instrument cluster then provides ground to the battery saver relay coil, activating the relay, for a period of 10 minutes with the interior lamp (headlamp) switch in the OFF position, or a maximum period of 30 minutes with the interior lamp (headlamp) switch in the ON position, or a door is ajar, provided that the instrument cluster does not receive any other input signals within the time-out period. The activated battery saver relay switches voltage to the demand lamp circuit and the interior lamp relay coil. After time-out, the instrument cluster removes the ground from the battery saver relay coil, disabling the demand lamp circuit.
