Interior Lights and courtesy lights
:-blah OK.. I am officially miffed.. I have no interior or courtesy lights.. Every fuse I know of has been checked and were all fine... Alll lights work except these and license plate light but that was I believe is bulbs only... Does anyone have any other clue???? I really need these lights for leaving work so late at night..
Also why would my windows go down or up AFTER door is open and key is out??? That seems REALLY weird??
Any answers would be appreciated.. I totally got raped on buying this truck, which I do love, but raped none the less and now I just want to make the best of what could be a GREAT bad *** looking truck, mecanhically and otherwise. Thanks Guys

What, you don't have a 2011 yet? The interior lights in those are ridiculous!

first off, welcome to FTE!!
the fact that the power windows still work after the key is out and the door is opened, and you have no interior or courtesy lights leads me to believe there is a problem with one or both of the door switches, and instead of fixing it, the previous owner just disabled the switches.

I have problems with my interior lights not coming on when I open the driver side door. I think it is just a wiring problem needing fixed. That is probably the same with your lights. As for your window, there is probably a short in the wire or a set of wires are exposed and crossing one another.

Rambuck, the power windows and radio will work after the key is removed for around 10 minutes, or until the door is opened on the newer trucks.
for your 92, there is a little plunger switch in the door lamb. if the switch stays in the pushed in position, the interior lights will not come on. you can get the plunger from any good auto parts house for a few dollars.
