All should be within 50 miles of you.
You can also go get cleaned out by jasper to get a reman. The online system is showing 1350, but i don't do a lot of volume with them and get no discount.
In either case, you will need to check your current engine and see if you have smog or not. If you do, there will be a second pipe/hole above each exhaust outlet.
I looked up the reman. engines on Jasper but I didnt see any for 1350. I saw 3 from 2000 and up. I will call on the other salvage yards you listed, thank you. I also saw a website called engine and transmission world or se engines, I think they are the same. I called them twice for a quote. One guy told me the mileage was 68000 another guy told me the mileage was 74000. I asked for the vin # so I could look it up on carfax but they would not give me the vin # until after I puchased the motor. Anyone know anything about this company?
Another option may be the dealer themselves? Pricing out a 5.4 long block from Ford shows they're very competitive price wise----this is assuming you're seriously considering going with new?

Can't hurt to try!
Ford wants 1900 for an 86 longblock, but it does come with a bitchin warranty. 3 years, unlimited miles, with labor and parts reimbursement at any ford dealership at their ford warranty rate. They even covered towing when my F350 broke down due to a dropped valve. The dealer mechanics were laughing their *** off when they saw an active, manufacturer warranty on my 96 crewcab longbed :P
can you give me a bit more info on what to look for on my engine for the smog You mentioned a second pipe hole on each exhaust output. I'm not sure what you mean. If the smog control is on the engine will there be a pipe coming out of the top exhaust manifold on each cylinder?
You should have a manifold above the exhaust pipes, which has 6 little tubes going into the cylinder head above each exhaust port. It will look like this:
