My starter shorted out. Evidently something else blew out when that happened. Now I have power to the Dome light and the warning chime when key is in ignition when the door is opened. Turning key to start position does nothing but turn off the chime and dome light. There are no headlights at all. Fusible links on the starter relay wires are all good. Acts like there is another circuit breaker or fuse hidden somewhere. Only possibility I come up with is a bad ignition switch...ouch!
Any other ideas?

Reason: Identify truck model
When starter shorted out, the high current thru the battery ground wire overheated it causing the failure. Evidently there was enough of a ground connection thru other circuits to enable the domelight and chime to work but not enough to supply what was needed for big circuits. I cut off about 2 - 3 inches off the battery connecter ground wire to the frame and block, cleaned gunk off the terminal with wire brush, reconnected the ground wiring and everything now works. GOT MY TRUCK BACK!!!! OOH_RAH
